Synopsis
When Rubén, an eleven-year-old boy, finds his father has mysteriously disappeared, he’s forced to go and live with his grandmother, whom he barely knows. In a rural setting where time seems to stand still, the boy will learn from the elderly woman how family wounds are passed down from generation to generation, and as he grows up, he’ll struggle to come to terms with them and discover everything he never knew about his father.

Spanish actor, director and writer, he trained in acting at the Murcia School of Dramatic Arts and holds a master’s degree in advanced studies from UNIR. His first appearance as a professional actor was in the Antena 3 series El secreto de Puente Viejo (2016), in the role of Elías Mato. A year later came his big breakthrough with Money Heist. Whilst working on the aforementioned television series, he began his film career by starring in Historias románticas (un poco) cabronas in 2016, which was broadcast in 2018, the same year that Everybody Knows, directed by the Iranian filmmaker Asghar Farhadi, was released. It was this film that catapulted him to international fame.
