The Xove Orquestra Ourensanía will perform in Ourense and Verín the well‑known soundtrack that Howard Shore composed for The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
To mark the 25th anniversary of the historic Lord of the Rings film trilogy, this symphonic gala invites audiences to return to Middle-earth through one of the most influential and admired soundtracks in film history. The Xove Orquestra Ourensanía, conducted by José Luis Tielas, will perform a selection of compositions created by Howard Shore for Peter Jackson’s celebrated adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s work.
There will be two events bringing the music of Middle‑earth to the province: in Ourense on September 27, and in Verín on October 3.

At this event, the OUFF once again champions live music, bringing over fifty musicians to the stage of the Ourense Municipal Auditorium for a tribute concert that not only celebrates the anniversary of a saga that captivated a generation of viewers, but also the extraordinary musical legacy of a work that transcended the screen to become a cultural touchstone. A unique experience for lovers of film, symphonic music and fantasy, this concert will allow audiences to rediscover live the power and beauty of one of the most memorable scores ever written for a film saga.
