Synopsis
Irene, a young pregnant woman living in a juvenile care centre, agrees to move in with a youth worker and his wife in an isolated location. The deal: she’ll give them her baby. But motherhood awakens a bond in her that puts the agreement at risk, unleashing tension and suspense.

He began his career in the 1990s as an assistant director and documentary filmmaker. He made his feature-film debut with La flaqueza del bolchevique (2003) and established himself with films such as Malas temporadas, Caníbal, El autor and La hija, which have been featured at various international festivals. In 2018, he won the Goya Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for El autor.
