Synopsis
Vera and Lucas, a frustrated couple in their forties, find a huge apartment at half price thanks to “bare ownership”: they buy it now, but Jesús, the elderly owner will continue living there until he dies. What seemed like a miraculous solution soon becomes an obsession when Jesús disappears, reappears changed, and stops behaving like someone at the end of his days. Amid suspicion, frustration, and an increasingly corrosive dark humour, the couple begins to contemplate a plan as absurd as it’s tempting.

Alberto Utrera began his career in television before making the leap ten years later to advertising, documentaries, and finally fiction. Specialising in editing, where, in his own words, he’s “put in more hours than a fridge,” he’s worked in every department of the production process, giving him a broad perspective on how to approach an audiovisual project. A lover of comedy as a genre that “helps us accept what we can’t understand,” he’s currently focused on his latest film, Nuda Propiedad (Ownerships), scheduled for release in 2026.
