Jury President – Art director and Costume designer

Art director in more than 30 films, she started in costume design with two great masters: Ivonne Blake and Gerardo Vera. She collaborated with them in cinema, theatre and opera. Her costumes for La noche oscura by Carlos Saura, nominated for the Goya awards, or Land and Freedom by Ken Loach are particularly noteworthy. In production design: The Man Who Lost His Shadow by A. Tanner and La Celestina by Gerardo Vera, which was nominated for the Goya for best artistic direction. Agustí Villaronga: Uncertain Glory and Pan negro, for which she won a Goya Award and a Gaudí Award. Art director in twenty episodes of Game of Thrones, La Caja 507 and ¡García! Ricardo Franco Award at the Malaga Festival 2024. Now in cinemas, El Nido, by Hugo Stuve.

Actress

Her film credits include starring roles in Saremo giovani e bellissimi (Venice 2018), I Liviatani (2020), and Prophecy (2025). She rose to prominence as Nadia in seasons 2 and 3 of Suburra: The Series on Netflix, a role she reprised in Suburra Æterna (2023). Her Netflix projects also include the Spanish series Toy Boy 2. On television, she plays Giulia Mezzanotte in the cult series Don Matteo. She’s currently filming the new Rai series NEMO – Chi ha ucciso Sofia? She served on the jury at the Monte Carlo Film Festival (2024) and has been actively involved with Amnesty International Italy since 2018.

Head of International Physical Production en ZETA Studios

Degree in audiovisual communication (University of Navarra) and a master’s degree in audiovisual production (Complutense University of Madrid). He began his professional career in film in 1998, always working in on-set production. He has extensive experience in major productions, having worked with directors such as Guy Ritchie, Hugh Hudson, Tarsem Singh, Ric Roman Waugh and Juan José Campanella, as well as on series for Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime Video. His production experience spans Spain, Italy, France, Mali and Saudi Arabia, in addition to Latin American countries such as Argentina and Peru, and currently Uruguay and Chile.

Actress and playwright

She began her theatrical career in Valencia. In Madrid, she transitioned to screen acting in TV series such as Farmacia de guardia, La casa de los líos, No One Could Live Here and Camera Café. In 2004, she starred in the short film 7.35 de la mañana by Nacho Vigalondo, which earned an Academy Award nomination. She’s appeared in films such as El mal menor, Viaje a alguna parte and La última cena. In theatre, she combines major productions like El método Grönholm with plays she writes and directs herself, such as Donasmóviles. Recently, she appeared in Señoras del (h)AMPA and Dafne and the Rest, as well as in movies like Camera Café: The Movie or Pequeños Calvarios.

Costume Designer

He studied fashion design in Seville and, in Madrid, specialised in film costumes with his teacher Pepe Reyes. He’s worked on films such as: Cousinhood, Siete Vírgenes, Far from the Sea, El hombre de las mil caras, Rita, Los Tigres and La Luz. Directors such as Alberto Rodríguez, León de Aranoa, Sánchez Arévalo and Paz Vega entrust him with each project. When Fernando was a child, he won drawing competitions; the prize was a box of markers. That’s how it all started. This is the end of the Goya speech for Best Costume Design for Marshland. Another one would follow Modelo 77, and 3 more nominations: Unit 7, A Perfect Day and The Good Boss. Since 2010, he’s combined his work in film with the fashion brand he runs with his brother, Antonio García.

Jury President – Actor and TV presenter

With an extensive career spanning over four decades in show business, he’s established himself as one of the most recognisable figures in Spanish cinema, television and theatre. Holding a degree in psychology from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, he’s successfully combined his analytical background with dramatic roles. In addition to working with renowned filmmakers such as José Luis Cuerda, Icíar Bollaín, and Enrique Urbizu, he boasts a long audiovisual career. On television, he defined an era with memorable roles in hit series such as Águila Roja (A.C.E. Award), La Caza, El Inmortal and Compañeros, demonstrating great acting versatility across all types of projects and formats.

Journalist and Member of the Spanish Film Academy

A Galician journalist and communicator with a solid professional background specialising in film and cultural outreach. She’s an active member of both the Spanish Film Academy and the Television Academy, as well as part of the prestigious voting jury for the Academy Awards (Oscars) and the Forqué Awards. Currently, she runs the production company Red Carpet Films and possesses extensive, acclaimed experience producing audiovisual and journalistic content for major media outlets such as Televisión Española (TVE), TVG, Movistar+, COPE, and the digital magazine The Luxonomist. With a rigorous and passionate perspective on the industry, she’s become a key figure in red carpet coverage and major international film festivals today.

AISGE member

An actor and dubbing director with an extensive career spanning over three decades, maintaining a continuous presence in theatre, film and television. He’s one of the most recognisable faces and voices in Galician fiction thanks to key roles in iconic series like Matalobos and Pazo de familia, as well as national productions such as El Ministerio del Tiempo, and acclaimed feature films including Pedro Almodóvar’s Julieta. With a career defined by artistic commitment and technical versatility, he balances his work in front of the camera and on stage with directing and voice acting for audiovisual projects, while also playing a prominent role within AISGE.

CREA member

A Galician filmmaker and photographer holding a degree in audiovisual communication (UOC) and master’s degrees in photography (TAI) and cultural services (USC). Her audiovisual and photographic work explores social issues such as collective amnesia, identity, territory, ecocides and autobiography. Highlights of her filmmaking career include the Mestre Mateo Award for Best Documentary for 360 curvas (2025), the Contemporánea Award at Intersección – Festival Internacional de Cine de A Coruña for Friccións (2023), and the CREA Award for Best Director for O intruso (2021), alongside selections at festivals such as FICX, Curtocircuíto and Play-Doc.

CIMA member

An internationally recognised filmmaker with a PhD. She earned her degree in audiovisual communication (USC) and a master’s in film directing from the London Film School. Her work explores the representation of women’s bodies, identity, and territory. Her debut feature film, the documentary Grelei raíces no teu lar (2025), forms part of her doctoral thesis at Royal Holloway (London) on the representation of childbirth in cinema. This research earned her the Best Scientific Communication Award at the IV Congress on Obstetric Violence (Universitat Jaume I, 2025) and a nomination at the Learning on Screen Awards (London, 2024). She currently combines teaching with production work at the Cineuropa festival and the London Spanish Film Festival.

Jury President – Actor, director and screenwriter

Born in A Guarda, Nani Matos is an actor, director and screenwriter with extensive experience in the Galician and Spanish audiovisual industries. As a filmmaker, he wrote and directed the short films Flores para Amalia and Dies Dei. As an actor, he has appeared in acclaimed television series such as Fariña, Unauthorized Living (Vivir sin permiso), Bitter Daisies (El sabor de las margaritas) and Serramoura. With a strong artistic and musical background, he brings valuable critical insight to the festival’s Official Competition.

Actress

A Chinese-born actress based in Spain, Chacha Huang has built a solid international career in both film and television. Widely recognized for her roles in hit series such as Zorro and Money Heist, she has also appeared on the big screen in films including Off Course to China (Perdiendo el este) and the acclaimed Emmanuelle. Her performance in the short film Xiao Xian showcased her remarkable versatility as an actress and highlighted her outstanding stage presence.

Actress born in Girona with an extensive career in national and international film and television. On the small screen, she’s taken part in prominent series such as El síndrome de Ulises, Acusados, Cuéntame cómo pasó, Ángel o demonio, El Caso, and Crónica de sucesos. In cinema, she stood out in feature films such as Lope, Trash, and Las furias, in addition to starring in various short film projects and audiovisual productions in Spain and Mexico.
